All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Without something ”extra”, school courses amounts to unbearable toil and moil and everyday degrades to a miserable repetition of yesterday’s routine. The inevitable consequence is stifled imagination, staled thoughts and numbed senses, and we are doomed to become a group of bigoted scholars responsive only to impersonal dogmas.
