Sad

在台词中是making one feel unhappy, pity or regret（令人难过、遗憾或惋惜的；令人悲哀的；让人难过的）的意思。

用法1: It is sad to do

Eg. It was sad to see them go. 看到他们走了真让人难受。

用法2：It is sad that +补语从句

Eg. It is sad that so many of his paintings have been lost. 他的很多话遗失，真可惜。

用法3：sad+N

Eg. We had some sad news yesterday. 我们昨天听到不幸的消息。

It will be a sad day for all of us if the theatre is forced to close.如果那天剧院被迫关门，那对于我们所有人来说是一个悲哀的日子。
