In large supermarkets in regions like South China's Shen Zhen and Gui Yang, all sub-standard dairy products are no longer on sale. These supermarkets have sealed the products and put them aside, and are awaiting authorities' instruction.
Although some products from the companies, including industry leaders Yili Group, Mengniu, and Bright Dairy, are no longer on shelves, other products are still being sold.
Guiyang resident, said, "I drink milk of such brands as Mengniu and Yili. I am not concerned because of the government's close inspection."
In Hubei province, local authorities are implementing checks on dairy products and are offering safety information to local residents.
Anhui province has set up "substandard milk" signs and milk products are being checked. Local residents say they have confidence in the process.
