of coverage during the games.
Guo Weimin, Spokesman of Beijing Olympic Games said "BOCOG and sectors concerned will carry out our promises. We have done a lot for the convenience of foreign media. According to central government's relevant regulations, it is clear that foreign journalists can interview as long as they get permission from the work units and the individual in question."
Guo says regulations released a year ago have been well implemented. BOCOG is doing its utmost to help with equipment setup, coverage at Tian'anmen square and dealing with other possible problems. The three media centers were opened last month and are running well. The Main Press Center held the first press conference on July 8th and will hold two news conference per day beginning this week, as well as interviews and cultural activities.
