The first torchbearer was police officer Jin Guangzhen. The flame will be relayed by 188 torchbearers over 7.8 kilometers. The relay was previously scheduled to begin at 8:00 am, but was delayed because of heavy rain.
Tomorrow the torch relay will continue in Shenyang City, capital of Liaoning Province.
