Doug hadn't even seen it coming! Now he had one foot in the grave and certain trouble with trying to keep the other one out!

As Doug stood there in the middle of town waiting for Big Bad Tom to show up and have a shootout with him, he found that he had time on his hands to think about what went wrong!
道格站在城镇中央等着大坏蛋汤姆的到来并与他幵枪决斗，这时他发现他有时间可以自由支配，想想到底出了什么差错！
It was all because Doug had his hands full with work at the ranch.
一切都是因为道格在牧场里忙得不可开交。
He just never noticed Big Bad Tom always having a look at his woman.
他根本没有注意到大坏蛋汤姆总是偷看他的女人。
The other cowboys thought Doug must have had his head in the clouds. It was so obvious! But Doug was just plain busy!
其他牛仔认为道格一定是有些心不在焉，因为这太明显啦！可道格真的只是太忙！
Then yesterday, when Doug had a day off, he finally figured it all out!
到了昨天，当道格休息一天的时候，他终于明白了一切！
His heart was in his mouth when he challenged Big Bad Tom, who was head and shoulders aboved all of them, but he had to do it!
向大坏蛋汤姆挑战的时候他非常紧张，因为汤姆比他们都高了许多，可是他得豁出去！
His heart was set on keeping his woman and no bully was going to take her away! Then Big Bad Tom showed up!
他决心要留住他的女人，哪个恶霸也甭想把她抢走！这时大坏蛋汤姆出现了！
They faced each other and Tom said, "I think you might have trouble doing this, Doug. I've never been beat in a shootout!"
他们相互看着对方，汤姆说："我想你干这事儿费点儿劲，道格。决斗我可是从来没输过！"
Bang! A shot rang out and Tom fell to the ground. Doug hadn't fired and looked up to isee his woman beside a building.
砰！枪声响起，汤姆应声倒地。道格根本没有开枪，他抬头一看，一座建筑旁边站着他的女人。
"Love doesn't have anything to do with a gunfight!" she said.
"爱情跟枪战没有关系！"她说。
"And you men always think you can have things your own way. Well I don't accept that, I don't want either of you!"
"你们这些男人总是认为可以自行其是。可我不吃这一套，你们俩我谁都不要！"
As she turned her gun on Doug, his heart was in his boots. This wasn't his fault. It was Tom's.
她把枪指向道格，他吓得要命。这不是他的错，是汤姆的错。
No matter. Boom!
谁错都没有关系。隆隆声响！
