102.吵吵闹闹的父母
"I just can't stand it anymore! I have to get out of this house-go on vacation or something!"
"我真的不能再忍受啦！我得离开这所房子一去度个假或者什么的！"
Dad was going on the rampage again. Whenever he went on a diet he would get that way.
父亲又在暴跳如雷了。只要他开始节食，他就变成那样。
Something about not eating the food he wanted made him a different person.
想吃的东西却不能吃，这会使他整个儿变一个人。
"C'mon let's just go out for dinner and have a good meal," my mom said.
"好啦，我们出去吃饭，好好吃一顿吧。"母亲说。
She always went out of her way for him. "The kids can make dinner for themselves. I just went shopping!"
她对他总是不厌其烦。"孩子们可以自己做饭。我刚去买过东西啦！"
But Dad didn't listen. He just went on and on! He was too fat!
可是父亲却不听她的。他只是不停地抱怨！他太胖了！
Everyone could see that! But he didn't need to go on about it forever!
每个人都能看出来！但他没有必要唠叨个没完！
When Mom finally told him to stop his yelling-that she couldn't go on with him like this much longer, he relented and agreed that they could go out on the town.
当母亲终于让他别再嚷嚷时——她不能与他继续过这种日子了，他这才有所收敛，同意进城放松一下。
Whew! I was glad when they left! I immediately called up this boy that I was hoping to go out with.
耶!我真髙兴他们走了！我赶紧给我希望一起出去的男孩打电话。
I was going to ask if I could go over for a visit when I was surprised to hear yelling in the background of his home as well when he picked up the phone.
我正准备问我是否可以去看他，却吃惊地听到他拿起电话的时候他家也有吵闹声。
"Yeah, my mom is going off at my dad about not finding a job!
"是的，我妈正骂我爸找不到工作！
He went out of business a couple months ago and it's tearing them apart!"
我爸几个月前丢了饭碗，这事正让他们闹得不可开交哩！"
Yikes! Parents are yelling everywhere!
呀！到处都有父母在吵架！
I wasn't going over there either!
我也不准备登门拜访了！
Well, anyhow, I could go on about parents fighting, but that's just the way it is sometimes.
不管怎样，父母闹得再凶我还是继续我的生活，有时只能是这样。
My mom and dad came home later that evening and everything was fine.
那天晚上爸妈回家时一切又恢复了正常。
My friend's dad also got a job the next week!
我朋友的爸爸也在接下来的那个星期里找到了工作！
