China's 2024 box office revenue is at 40 billion yuan as of November 27, according to a film data platform.

Local titles continue to dominate, with eight of the year's 10 top-grossing films being domestic productions. A hollywood blockbuster and a Japan's animated feature rank ninth and tenth.
目前，今年票房排名前8的影片均为国产电影。位列第九和第十位的分别是美国电影和日本电影。

The Spring Festival, China's most lucrative moviegoing window, delivered particularly impressive results, with four releases landing among the top five earners of the year to date.

Comedy has emerged as the standout genre of the year, according to Chen Jin, an analyst at box office tracker Beacon. Films with a central comedic element have collectively earned nearly 20 billion yuan, representing half of the year's total box office revenue.
在电影类型方面，喜剧片票房表现突出。灯塔专业版数据分析师陈晋表示，喜剧类型影片累计票房接近200亿元，占今年总票房的一半。
