A villager in Boli county in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, was bitten on the left hand by a tiger and is currently being treated at a medical facility. The injured has stable vital signs. Relevant departments have arrived at the scene and are tracking the tiger's movements, according to a statement published by the local forestry and grassland bureau on Monday.
中国东北黑龙江省勃利县一名村民左手被老虎咬伤,目前正在医疗机构接受治疗。伤者生命体征稳定。根据当地林业和草原局周一发布的一份声明,相关部门已经到达现场,正在追踪老虎的活动。
The local public security department received a report at 6:38 am on Monday, stating that around 6 am, a tiger's movements were discovered in Changtai village, Boli county.
18日6时38分,勃利县110指挥中心接到报告:“6时许,勃利县吉兴朝鲜族满族乡长太村发现老虎行踪。”
A video clip shows the tiger attempted to charge at the large iron gate of a villager's house. The elderly villager met the tiger and narrowly escaped the attack by running away and retreating inside.
一段视频片段显示,这只老虎试图冲进村民家的大铁门。年迈的村民侥幸逃过一劫。
The statement also reminds the public to take precautions for safety.
声明还提醒公众为安全采取预防措施。
Residents of nearby townships should promptly take precautions if they discover traces of large wild animals and report them immediately while ensuring their own safety, the statement said.
当地提醒:临近乡镇居民如发现大型野生动物踪迹,要及时避险,在确保自身安全情况下,立即报告。
"We've never seen tigers in our village before. This is the first time," said one villager.
“我们村子里从来没见过老虎。这是第一次,”一位村民说。
As of midday of Monday, the tiger has not yet been captured, and authorities are continuing their efforts to ensure public safety.
截至周一中午,老虎还没有被捕获,当地政府正在继续努力确保公共安全。
A staff member from the county's emergency management bureau said that they had conducted a joint investigation to track the tiger with infrared thermal imaging devices and drones.
勃利县应急管理局工作人员称,现场工作人员已携带红外热成像仪、无人机等设备,对老虎踪迹进行排查。
