In a recent development, the corgi Fu Zai has successfully completed his working dog certification after nearly a year of rigorous training, officially transitioning into the role of a police dog.
在进行了近一年的训练之后，“福仔”成功通过了工作犬等级考核，正式“转正”成为一只警犬。
Making his debut at an open day event held at a police camp in Weifang, Shandong province, Fu Zai quickly captured the hearts of online audiences with his charming smile, adorable "little short legs", and exceptional bomb detection abilities.
在山东潍坊一次警营开放日的警犬互动展示环节中，“福仔”凭着标志性的笑脸、可爱的小短腿、出色的搜爆技术，迅速走红网络。
During the working dog certification assessment on Oct 8, the police tailored the tests to leverage Fu Zai's unique advantage of having short legs.
10月8日，结合工作犬等级考核标准与“福仔”自身条件，警方为“福仔”量身定制了符合短腿优势的考核内容，并额外增加障碍考核。
From tasks testing obedience to searches of luggage, vehicles, rooms, and navigating obstacle courses, Fu Zai adeptly handled each challenge, impressively passing all evaluations.
在训导员的指挥下，服从科目、箱包搜索、车辆搜索、房间搜索、障碍……一道道难关，“福仔”都完美完成，顺利通过了全部的考核。
At just two months old, while playing in the park with his original owner, Fu Zai's talents caught the eye of a trainer from the police dog training center, who said, "His keen interest and desire for items, and ability to play games set him apart from other pet dogs."
在“福仔”两个月大时，它的原主人带着它在公园玩耍，福仔的天赋引起了警犬训练中心的一位教练的注意，他说：“它对物品的兴趣、欲望以及游戏能力，相比较其他宠物犬来说都要高。”
After careful consideration, the original owner made the decision to entrust Fu Zai to the police dog training base, where he made history as China's first corgi police dog.
“福仔”原主人纠结再三，决定把它送到昌乐县公安局警犬训练基地。“有不舍，但更想成就它。”
Fu Zai can take advantage of his short legs to investigate beneath cars and easily get into and search narrow spaces.
福仔可以利用他的短腿调查车底，很容易进入和搜索狭窄的空间。
As a police dog, Fu Zai faces a "heavy workload": training is scheduled for every morning and afternoon, involving a variety of subjects, such as obedience exercising, bomb search, sniffing techniques and so on.
作为警犬，福仔面临着“繁重的工作”：“福仔”每天的训练分为上午、下午，涉及多个科目，包括服从、搜爆、嗅闻等。
