FARMER AND WHEAT
农夫和小麦
Once, someone asked a farmer if he planted wheat.
有一次，有人问农夫种没种小麦。
The farmer replied, “No, I'm afraid it won't rain.”
农夫回答：“没种，我怕天不下雨。”
The man asked, “Did you plant cotton, then?”
这人又问：“那你种棉花了吗？”
The farmer said, “No, I'm afraid the worms will eat cotton.”
农夫说：“没种啊，我怕棉虫吃了棉花。”
So the man asked, “What do you plant?”
这人于是又问：“那你种什么？”
The farmer said, “Nothing. I'll ensure everything safe.”
农夫说：“啥也不种，我得确保万无一失。”
