German climate activists attack Christmas tree
德国极端环保分子袭击圣诞树
German climate activists chopped the top off a Christmas tree in front of Berlin's famous Brandenburg Gate on Wednesday.

Two members of a group called Last Generation used a hydraulic lift to reach the top of the 15-meter tree and removed the top 2 meters while attaching a banner reading, “This is only the tip of the Christmas tree”.
两名来自“最后一代”组织的成员使用液压升降机升到15米高的树顶，锯掉了2米的树尖，并挂上写着“这不过是圣诞树的树尖”的横幅。
Climate campaigners in Germany have conducted several protests in recent weeks, including blockading city roads and airports, and gluing themselves to famous paintings in museums.

The group called on the government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz to do more to tackle global warming.

Scholz responded by calling on the group to show “a bit of creativity” because their protests were similar to those of Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oi in the UK.

A spokeswoman for Berlin police said three activists had been detained, and were being investigated.
