Bach re-elected as IOC president
巴赫成功连任IOC主席
Thomas Bach proposed that "together" be added to the Olympic slogan of "faster, higher, stronger" after being re-elected as president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) during the virtual 137th IOC Session on Wednesday.
国际奥委会第137次全会3月10日以视频会议的形式召开，国际奥委会主席巴赫在主席选举中成功连任。之后他建议在奥林匹克格言“更快、更高、更强”后面，再加入一个词“together”（意为“在一起、携手或共同”）。
In his acceptance speech addressing IOC members, Bach said: "We learned during this coronavirus crisis, the hard way, that we can live up to our Olympic slogan 'faster, higher, stronger', in sports and in life, only if we are working together in solidarity. The world is so interdependent that nobody can solve the real big challenges alone anymore."
巴赫在向国际奥委会成员发表连任致辞时说：“我们在这场新冠危机中艰难地认识到，只有团结一致，才能在体育和生活中践行我们的奥运口号‘更快、更高、更强’。当今世界彼此依靠，单靠个体已经无法应对巨大的挑战。”
"There is no doubt the opening ceremony (of Tokyo 2020) will take place on July 23," Bach reiterated in his opening remarks.
巴赫还重申：“毫无疑问，东京奥运会的开幕式将于7月23日举行。”
