Four students at the Beijing Institute of Technology have used advanced technologies to build a futuristic dormitory with functions like a space capsule, Beijing Youth Daily reported.
据《北京青年报》报道，北京理工大学的四名学生通过使用先进技术，打造了一间具备太空舱功能的未来主义宿舍。
Song Shantai, one of the four students majoring in design, built a system that projects a computer keyboard on the desk surface.
宋善台就是这四名主修设计的学生中的一个，他打造了一个在桌面上投影键盘的系统。
"There is no need for you to turn on the computer when you are in a hurry to fix a paper. Instead, you can type words on the desktop," Song said.
宋善台说道：“着急修改论文的时候，你就不用再开电脑了。取而代之的是，你可以在桌面上打字。”
The words are transmitted to your smart phone, or sent to teachers by email immediately. The keyboard can also be projected onto the table nearby, Song said.
这些打好的字可以传输到你的智能手机上，或者通过邮件立即发给老师。宋善台指出，该键盘也可投射到附近的桌子上面。
The trashcan in their dorm was also modified. Huang Xiaofeng, another roommate, told that four wheels installed under the can help it move around the room by remote control.

A temperature sensor installed on the air conditioner enables it to be turned on or off by people outside the room who can read the inside temperature and turn on the air conditioner in advance, Huang said.
黄晓峰称，安装在空调上的温度遥感，能够使空调被室外的人打开或关闭，他们可以读取室内温度，提前打开空调。
Using window and door sensors, the room can also close its curtain automatically and turn on the light when someone opens the door in the evening. It helps "save time finding the light switch," said Lin Yunan.

The university's dorm authorities said the renovated room is safe to use after checks. A teacher from the university also said students are encouraged to be innovative by applying what they learn.
