After revealing his ambition to become an actor last year, Cristiano Ronaldo is being lined for a sensational debut TV show role alongside Hollywood star Angelina Jolie.

The Real Madrid forward is set to star in Hayat Koprusu, a Turkish television series, which will be shown in Turkey, the Middle East and Latin America.

Filming, which is due to begin in April, will occur in the south-east of Turkey near the Syrian border.

'We will begin filming in the first week of April, the series is about the plight of a refugee family and what they go through,' director Eyup Dirlik told Turkish Football.
