一.receive：v.接到, 收到, 接待
【语法用法】
receive与accept的区别：
receive意为“收到”，表示客观的，accept意为“接受”，表示主观的。
当accept a gift时，表示接受了礼物，不会再退回，而receive a gift时，只是收到了礼物，可能还会退回。
receive只是一时的动作，因此不能说I have received your letter 3 days.应该改为It is 3 days since I received your letter；
receive from/of的意思是“从某处或某人那收到（款项）”，如received from/of Sam seven pounds；
在英美英语中回信中的第一句话，通常是Your letter of ... received，常省略is，has been。
【错句举例与错句分析】
错句: All I hope is that you will receive my invation and come here.
订正: All I hope is that you will accept my invation and come here.
翻译: 我所希望的是你能接受邀请并过来。
分析: receive invation与accept invation的区别用法，一个是客观的收到，一个是主观的接收邀请。
【词义辨析】
accept, receive, admit, take
这些动词均有“接受、接纳”之意。
accept强调主动地或自愿地接受，或者说，经过考虑后同意接受。

二.laugh：v.发笑, 笑, 嘲笑 n.笑声, 笑, 笑料
【词义辨析】
laugh, smile, giggle, grin, beam, sneer
这些动词均含“笑”之意。
laugh最常用词，指因喜悦、愉快或轻视而出声的笑或大笑。
smile指面露微笑，侧重于无声。
giggle指发出咯咯的笑声，较多地用于女人或孩子。
grin指露齿而笑。
beam书面用词，指人因心情舒畅而发出的笑，即喜形于色地笑。
sneer指冷笑、嘲笑。
