China's communist rulers have banned Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and the Backstreet Boys' from their radio playlists ‘to preserve national security’. The Ministry of Culture has announced Chinese music download sites must delete songs by the artists within two weeks or face the consequences. Officials have posted a list of 100 forbidden songs - including Lady Gaga's 'Judas' and Perry's 'Last Friday Night' - because they have not met the approval of the party leadership.

Lady Gaga was the most banned of all the acts with six of her songs on the list, all of which are from her latest album. The 12-year-old ballad 'I Want It That Way' by the Backstreet Boys was also deemed contrary to the best interests of the People's Republic.The authoritarian Chinese government carefully screens the content of all imported entertainment content for political messages or commentary that runs contrary to its official line.

　 据悉，针对这些违规音乐文化部规定各相关网站应该在9月15之前彻查网站内部是否有这些音乐，如果有需要在15日前进行删除，否则完整将受到违规音乐的处罚。歌曲办理手续需要提供歌词，如果是国外的需要提供翻译歌词，填写相应的表格申请审核。 目前互联网上面依然可以收听到这些违规网络音乐，各相关网站工作者应该及时的进行处理以免影响网站的运营。在这些歌手中，嘎嘎小姐的最新专辑《I want it that way》违规曲目最多，因该歌词与和谐稳定的基调不符被禁。
