Well-known Chinese poet Yu Guangzhong died on Thursday at the age of 90, according to Taiwan-based media udn.com.

据台湾联合新闻网报道，中国著名诗人余光中在周四过世，享年90岁。

well-known poet是著名诗人。
余光中因脑中风（stroke）和肺部感染（pulmonary infection）入院治疗，14日上午10点04分因呼吸衰竭（respiratory failure）过世。
余光中是著名文学家（litterateur）、诗人和散文家（proser），1928年出生于南京，祖籍福建永春，1948年随父母迁香港，次年赴台。余光中从事文学创作（literary creation）超过半个世纪，驰誉海内外，是当代诗坛健将、散文重镇、著名批评家（critic）和优秀翻译家（translator）。一曲《乡愁》在全球华人世界（ethnic Chinese around the world）引发强烈共鸣（resonance）。
