UK bullish over Chinese outbound travel market

The UK is also bullish over the benefits of the huge amount of Chinese visitors, especially those who came during the Golden Week holiday. There is still a great deal of optimism despite a survey that shows it is no longer in the top 10 destinations for Chinese. A stronger sterling may also put off some Chinese from visiting.
It's too early to draw a conclusion that the U.K is loosing favour, citing increased flight bookings and visa applications. But, the British travel agency also admits the UK is facing growing competition, as other countries and regions all want a slice of the Chinese tourist market. The travel authority also says it's brewing measures to facilitate travel to attract more Chinese tourists.
According to the agency, 40 percent of Chinese visitors are generous buyers hunting for luxury goods, with four times the average spending than that of other visitors.
