China promotes barrier-free environment for disabled

China marks the third anniversary for as China's Regulations on Construction of a Barrier-Free Environment were introduced in 2012. The Regulations are designed to create accessibility, or as the Regulations call it, barrier-free environments, to guarantee that disabled persons and other members of society can participate equally in social life.
In a press conference on Monday, Zhang Feng, chief engineer at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said
"We will continue to take full advantages of information technology, to promote extensive use of in barrier-free enviroment for disabled. First, we need to improve the standard.. Second, we need to strenthen the research..... Four, we should to provice convinient network for disabled people."
