Tiger Woods prepares for comeback
老虎伍兹即将回归赛场
Although the PGA season is over for the year, Tiger Woods was getting some practice in on Tuesday ahead of his most recent return to the links this weekend at the Hero World Challenge.
Woods is making his latest comeback with an eye to the past. This is the fifth time Woods has returned from injury over the last five years.
The breaks have ranged from four weeks to four months. He last competed on August 9th when he missed the cut at the PGA Championship, ending the shortest season of his career and the first time he did not have a top 10.
Woods said he had enough time off to let his body heal and to think about where he wants his game to go.
He announced just over a week ago that he had hired Dallas-based Chris Como as a swing consultant.
"Well, probably the first point. I'm older. Father Time is undefeated. We all eventually are losing some of the things we are able to do when we were younger. As an athlete, yeah, you do notice these things. We all have to make adaptations as athletes, and we have to make adjustments. And I'm no different. As I've explained to you guys many times, like MJ created a fadeaway. He couldn't jump over everybody anymore. It's going to be nice playing a tournament this week and getting a feel for being under the heat and see where my swing is," Woods said.
