Howard to produce Beatles documentary, MacFarlane sued

Oscar-winning filmmaker Ron Howard is set to direct a documentary about The Beatles, which will focus on the early years of the Fab Four's career. The film will follow the band's journey from early performances in Liverpool to their last public concert in San Francisco in 1966. Seth MacFarlane has been sued by a California production company for allegedly stealing the idea of the foul-mouthed bear for his hit movie "Ted." In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, Bengal Mangle Productions said Ted is "strikingly similar" to its own teddy bear Charlie, who was created in 2008 for the screenplay "Acting School Academy." The production company is seeking to recoup profit stemming from the alleged copyright infringement. Kim Kardashian is reportedly set to earn as much as 90 million dollars from her new app Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The game allows users to navigate Hollywood like a celebrity and earn a-list status by finishing various jobs. There is no cost to play the game, however, users can buy virtual dollars in order to purchase trips, clothing and jewelry. Various reports say the game is on target to gross 200 million this year with Kardashian taking 45 percent of the profit.
