Offices of Ukraine's richest man attacked

Protesters attack the offices of Ukraine's richest man, multi-billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, accusing him of aiding the separatists in the east. Those who sprayed the walls of his building with grafitti say he's using the situation in Ukraine to bolster his own position.

It raises surprise and everyone is sure that if he wants order and calm in the region and wants such incidents which are taking place now not to happen he could influence and attain this."

The steel and mining magnate is reportedly drawing on his local clout in Donetsk to negotiate with separatist protesters to end their occupation of state buildings in the eastern city. He's also urged the separatists to tone down some of their demands, and to hold constructive negotiations with the government.

Guantanamo defense attorneys say they're being investigated by FBI

Defense lawyers for five men accused of planning the Sept. 11th attacks say they --- not their clients --- are being investigated by the FBI. Attorneys representing Ramzi Bin al Shibh says FBI agents approached one of their team members earlier and "asked him to sign an agreement." Now defense lawyers say they're being put in a difficult position --- represent their clients and risk being investigated by the government. On Sunday, they filed an emergency motion requesting next week's pretrial hearings at Guantanmo be stopped --- until an investigation into the FBI probe is completed.

U.N. calls emergency meeting on Ukraine

An emergency session of the United Nations security council, to discuss the escalating crisis in eastern Ukraine.Representatives from several western nations blamed Russia for fomenting the unrest by moving troops to Crimea. Russia's ambassador said it's the Ukrainian people themselves who are responsible for the unrest.
联合国安理会即将召开紧急会议，讨论乌克兰东部不断升级的危机。来自几个西方国家的代表指责俄罗斯向克里米亚派遣军队造成动荡。俄罗斯大使表示为动荡负责的是乌克兰人民自己。
Vitaly churkin, russian u.N. Ambassador saying: "Some people including in this chamber do not want to see the real reasons for what is happening in Ukraine and are constantly seeking the hand of Moscow in what's going on. That's enough. "But Ukraine's ambassador said recent video posted online clearly shows Russian involvement. "

The U.N. meeting came just hours before a deadline set by Kiev for pro-Russian separatists to disarm. But in cities like Donetsk the pro-Russian forces showed no signs of complying. They were in control of the regional police headquarters and regional administration office, flying Russian and Donetsk republic flags from the buildings. Ukrainian police however held their own ground, guarding the prosecutors office and flying the Ukrainian flag. Authorities in Kiev promised a full scale anti-terrorist operation if their deadline was not met. Russia's Foreign Ministry calls the operation a criminal order.
