中国人民政治协商会议第十二届全国委员会全体成员在3月3日的全国政协十二届二次会议开幕式上为周六（3月1日）昆明恐怖袭击事件中的遇难者默哀。

【讲解】

“默哀”（silent tribute）是对逝者表示悼念的一种方式，“为…默哀”可用pay silent tribute to someone或observe a moment of silence for someone表示。在互联网普及的今天，不少人还会在网上敬献虚拟花圈（virtual wreath）对逝者进行网上悼念（online tribute）。四川汶川地震和青海玉树地震后，国家都设立了全国哀悼日（national mourning day），对遇难者进行悼念。
