U.S. tech giants allowed to release surveillance requests
政府允许互联网公司公布监控信息
U.S. government will allow Internet giants to release more details about government surveillance requests for their customer data.
Under the deal announced on Monday, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft and Yahoo will be able to publish broad categories of data on government requests for customer information. They can also disclose how many customer accounts are affected.
These five leading technology firms sued the government last summer, seeking the right to tell customers when the government requests information about their clients' online activities.
