Paris Fashion Week kicks off
2014巴黎春夏高级定制时装周开幕
French fashion house "On Aura Tout Vu" along with designer Giambattista Valli began the event. Both were showcasing their Spring and Summer Haute Couture collections in the style Mecca that is the French capital.
With shadowy silhouettes and sparkling studs, "On Aura Tout Vu" got started. Models walked down the catwalk to a new version of traditional wedding music, wearing mostly black and white outfits.
Dark studs were woven into light fabrics, as models wearing long black and white dresses swished down the catwalk. "On aura tout vu" showed a collection entirely based on contrasts, whether between black and white or dark and shadow.
Black ruffles adorned a long sleek dress dotted with bold studs, while backs and busts were a translucent white and glittered with sequins. But all was not black and white -- the collection had a splash of purple and light blue for a touch of colour.
Giambattista Valli produced a sexy, insouciant and colorful couture collection as part of Paris Fashion Week. It is certain to please the socialites and It girls who are so faithful to his brand. Skirts were head-turningly skimpy, many of them made of a twisted piece of fabric like a bow.
Luxurious touches included hand-painted flowers, sequins and jewels embroidered on fabric, while rich color combinations such as fuchsia with ruby were inspired by Impressionist paintings. The show took place in the centuries-old Lycee Henri IV, also the site of one of France’s best high schools.
