China′s industrial output grows 9.6% in Q1-Q3

China’s industrial production grew 9.6 percent year on year, in the first three quarters of 2013. That’s an acceleration of POINT THREE percent on the first half of the year.

High-tech manufacturing led the surge.... boosted by the introduction of policies tailored to support micro-enterprises. By the end of September, the number of mobile phone users in China had reached more than 1.2 billion with the number of households connected to the internet at around 186 million.

The total business income for the telecommunications sector was nearly 871 billion Yuan, a rise of 8.6 percent. E-commerce trade volume reached 7.5 trillion Yuan, up 35 percent. While the software industry also saw solid growth, earning over 2.3 trillion Yuan, up 23.7 percent.
