Emmitt Smith
Kelly M Emmitt Smith, the National Football League's all-time leading rusher, attributes his success on and off the field solely to the goals that he set for himself as a child. In his Hall Of Fame Inductee speech, he acclaimed goal setting over and over again, and attributed his phenomenal success purely to writing down his goals for the rest of his life at a young age. Smith claims that as a young boy he told his dad that one day he wanted to play in the National Football League on the Dallas Cowboys. Then in high school he wrote down his goals in life, one of which was to become the all-time leading rusher, win a championship, and be named MVP. Not only did he reach his goals, but he surpassed them with flying colors, winning three champion-ships,having two MVP awards to his name, and obliterating the rushing record previously held by Walter Peyton 一 Emmitt's idol when growing up. He was also drafted by his "dream team",the Dallas cowboys, and stayed in their organization throughout his career.
