If you are planning to head to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup next summer, be prepared to pay a little more for tickets to football’s biggest showcase.

Some three million tickets will be available in total, with 700,000 of them going to international fans. More than one million tickets for the first phase of the tournament will be on sale on August 20th.
The World Cup kicks off in Sao Paulo on June 12th next summer and takes place in 12 cities, with the final set for the legendary Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on July 13th.
In a nice move by FIFA, 500,000 cheaper tickets have been set aside exclusively for Brazilians, with many being offered at half price to pensioners, students and people receiving government aid. These tickets, all of which are for group games, can be sold for 15 US dollars.
