16 cases of H7N9 infections confirmed, 6 dead
全国确诊H7N9患者增至16人 6人死亡
The official number of known cases stands at sixteen, with two newly added in Jiangsu province on Friday. So far six people have been confirmed dead.
According to Shanghai authorities, four people died there out of the six cases reported. There is no known connection between the six infections. A 7th person who’s shown symptoms has been quarantined.
In neighbouring Zhejiang province, three cases were reported, two people have died. Local authorities say 55 people who had close contact with these patients have not exhibited any abnormal clinical symptoms.
Cases in Jiangsu stand at six. 12 people with close contact haven't showed any symptoms. And in neighbouring Anhui province, one person has been infected.
