China's first aircraft carrier docks
中国航母新年首次出港探“新家”
China's first aircraft carrier cuts through fog to dock for the first time in the city of Qingdao. The Liaoning conducted several weapons tests during its voyage to the city, where it arrived on Wednesday (February 27) morning.
穿过大雾，中国首艘航母首次停靠在青岛市。航行期间辽宁号进行了多次武器测试，并于周三(2月27日)上午抵达青岛。
The aircraft carrier launched last year after being refitted from a Ukrainian ship. China says the Liaoning has boosted its overall naval strength and will help protect national sovereignty. It comes amid maritime tension in parts of Asia, with China and its neighbours rowing over territorial claims.
这艘去年服役的航母是由乌克兰一舰艇改建而成。中国表示辽宁号全面提高了海军实力，并将有助于保卫国家主权。在此之际，亚洲部分地区海上局势紧张，中国与其邻国就领土主张争论不断。
officials say Egypt balloon crash won’t affect tourism

Mourners and officials gathered Wednesday near the ancient town of Luxor, where 19 people died after their hot air balloon came crashing down the day before. Nearly all the victims were foreign tourists, but Luxor Governor Ezzat Saad is confident the accident won't affect tourism here.

Tourism is a mainstay of Egypt's economy, but two years of political instability has kept millions of tourists away.

Millionaire plans to send couple to Mars

Calling all Middle-age couples --- this could be just the adventure for you. Millionaire space tourist Dennis Tito is setting his sites on the red plant---- announcing on Wednesday plans to send two people, a male and a female, near Mars in 2018. Tito made history in 2001 as the first person to fund his own trip to International Space Station.
