1. take a moment
讲解:take在这里的意思是“花费”,a moment是一会儿的意思,take a moment意思是“花费一点儿时间”,指花费的时间不多。
例句:It won't take a moment to ease the ladies of their jewellery.

3. on one’s death
讲解:one one’s death是介词短语表示时间,是指逝世者死亡的当天,在中文中通常说为“死亡后”。
例句:On his death the land was divided equally among his sons.
他死后这土地就平分给了他的几个儿子。

他一死,这农场就传给他儿子。

4. the heir to
讲解:这是名词性短语,意思是.......的继承人。注意表示......的继承人这个意思时,heir的后面的介词是to,不要用of。

6. owing to:因为,由于
