1. sort
习惯用语：sort sth/oneself out
双语释义：find a solution to (a problem/one's problems, etc)
[C.N.] 解决（某个或自己的问题等）
典型例句：I'll leave you to sort this problem out.
我把这个问题交给你来处理。
Let's leave them to sort themselves out.
他们的事儿让他们自己解决吧。
2. alter
双语释义：(cause sth ) become different
[Vt.]（使某事物或某人）改变
典型例句：I didn't recognize him because he had altered so much.
我没认出他来, 因为他变了许多。
That alters things.
那就使情况发生变化。
3. challenge
双语释义：question the truth, rightness or validity of (sth)
[Vt.] 怀疑（某事）的真实性﹑正确性或有效性
典型例句：All of us challenge her authority to order us about.
我们所有人都怀疑她是否有权力差使我们。
4. entail
双语释义：leave (land) to a line of heirs in such a way that none of them can give it away or sell it
[Tr.] 限定（地产）继承人
语法用法：~ sth (on sb) 由某人来继承
经常用于被动语态中
典型例句：The house and estate are entailed on the eldest daughter.
这所房子和地产限定由长女继承。
He would have sold the property long ago had it not been entailed.

5. whomever pron. 任何人
典型例句：I like whomever you like.

第三、精讲短语
1. cannot wait to do something
讲解：这个短语结构直接翻译就是“不能等待着去做某事”，意译为“迫不及待地做某事”。
例句：I was so excited that I couldn't wait to see my gift from my boyfriend.
我非常激动，迫不及待地要去看男友寄给我的礼物了。
2. asked for somebody
讲解：ask for是表示“请求，要求”，for后面接somebody，意思是“要求见某人”“要求与某人会晤”等。
例句：I would like to ask for our manager for my unfair treatment.
我受到不公平的待遇，我要见我们的经理。
3. tell about
讲解：这个短语有动词的后面tell接somebody，介词about后面可以接somebody，也可以接something，即：tell somebody about somebody（告诉某人关于某人的事情），tell somebody about something（告诉某人某事）。
例句：Would you tell me about you husband whom you are going to divorce with.
你要和你丈夫离婚，你可以告诉我一些关于他的事情吗？
