水，水，到处都是
Most things have three states: solid, liquid and gas.
大多数物质有三种形态：固态、液态和气态。
We can change a solid into a liquid and a liquid into a gas.
固态可以转化成液态，液态可以转化成气态。
It doesn't matter which of the three states a thing is in, it is still the same thing.
无论这种物质是以什么形态存在，其本质相同。
Let's think about water to see how this works.
我们以水为例来看这个过程。
Water is one of those things that exists in three states.
水是以这三种形态存在的物质之一。
Liquid water is found in many places.
液态水在许多地方都可以看见。
You can see liquid water coming out of the tap or running in a river.
你可以看到液态水从龙头里流出，在江河里流淌。
You can see water falling from the sky as rain, snow, or ice.

Ice and snow are examples of water in the solid state.

In winter, put your wet clothes near the fire, then you can see gas rising from the wet clothes.

When you breathe on a mirror, you can see little drops of water on the mirror.
