2.1 The Beatles were John Lennon,Paul McCartney

The group was vry successful in the 1960s
and their music is still very popular today.
Most of the Beatles' songs were written
by Lennon and McCartney
and you can often hear their song
on the radio today.
Now,only two members of the group-
Paul and Ringo are still alive
but the music of the Beatles lives on.
John Lennon(1940-1980)
John Lennon was one of the singers
with the Beatles
and he and Paul were the main songwriters
of the group.
Before he was a musician,
he was an art student.
After the Beatles,
he was successful as a solo artist.
Many of his songs were about peace
like Give Peace A Chance ,
Which is very famous song.
George Harrison(1943-2001)
As a Beatle,George Harrison was the guitarist
of the group.
To may people,Grorge was "the quite one".
He wasn't a main songwriter,
but he was the composer of famous songs
like Here Comes the Sun and Something.
Like John,Gerrge was a solo artist
after the Beatles and many of his records
were very successful.
