词义辨析:

far from和far away from的区别:

far from除表示距离的"远离"之外，还有"远远不"，"完全不"；"决非"之意；后接名词、动名词或形容词。而far away from则表示"远离（某地、某人等）"。far from的用法比far away from更丰富一些。当far away from意为"远离"，只表示距离，away可省去。

例句:

The factory is far (away) from his home.

工厂离他家很远。

He is far from a fool.

他一点也不傻。

Far from helping him, you have just made it worse.

你不仅没有帮上他，反倒使情况更糟糕。（此far是形容词意为远的;遥远的;久远的）

She walked in, looking far from happy.

她走了进来，看上去一点也不高兴。
