Rupert Murdoch has reportedly tied the knot to Elena Zhukova at his Californian vineyard, marking his fifth trip down the aisle. His roller-coaster personal life is often fodder for the tabloid newspaper industry that he helped foster on three continents.

Only one of his four previous wives attended Saturday's nuptials. That was his third ex-wife and Chinese-born entrepreneur Wendi Deng, who was married to him between 1999 and 2013, and with whom he has two daughters.

Her presence was not so surprising, given that it was Wendi who played matchmaker and set him up with Elena Zhukova.
