Xiaohong：Hey, Xiaohua. Do you still remember the brutal attack on women in a barbecue restaurant in Tangshan?

小红：嘿，小华。你还记得唐山一家烧烤店发生的对女性的残忍袭击吗?

Xiaohua：Yes. The public are all waiting for the result.

小华：是的。公众都在等待结果。

Xiaohong：The authorities have charged 28 people and detained eight police officials following the assault on women.

小红：在袭击女性事件发生后，当局已经起诉了28人，并拘留了8名警察。

Xiaohua：28 people？That's more than a baker's dozen.

Xiaohong：Wow, your English is really good.

Xiaohua：I'm flattered. Well, this attack really shocked the whole country and provoked widespread anger.

Xiaohong：Actually, prosecutors accused the 28 of committing a series of crimes since 2012, including illegal detention of others, intentional injury, opening casinos and robbery.

小红：事实上，检方指控这28人自2012年以来犯下了一系列罪行，包括非法拘留他人、故意伤害、开设赌场和抢劫。

Xiaohua：What？It's like a gangster movie.

小华：什么？就像黑帮电影一样。

Xiaohong：Yes, but it's real. Meanwhile, eight police officials have been detained for suspected corruption and providing "protection" for the gang.
