Jennifer: Shall we stay indoors or go out tonight?
詹妮弗：今晚我们要出去还是待在室内？
Gary: Of course we should go out. It's carnival season. There will be displays on water to knock your socks off.
加里：当然要出去啦，现在可是狂欢节期间。会有让你大开眼界的水上表演。
Jennifer: it's my first time to come to see Venice Carnival. Do people all dress up in costumes?
詹妮弗：我还是第一次来看威尼斯狂欢节。人们都会装扮起来吗？
Gary: And masks. You can easily buy a mask on the street. Or you can just have your faces painted.
加里：还要戴面具。面具在街上就能买到，或者你也可以在脸上涂上色彩。
Jennifer: I have no idea. I'll just buy one. Where shall we go?
詹妮弗：我完全不知道该怎样装扮，还是直接买一个面具吧。我们要去哪里？
Gary: You can see a lot of interesting things by just walking around. We can also eat at the food stalls, and then go to Piazza San Marco. Or would you like to go to a masquerade ball?
加里：单是四处走走也能看到很多好玩的东西。而且我们还能在小吃摊上吃东西，然后去圣马可广场。还是你想去参加化妆舞会？
Jennifer: I think I'll have a stroll first. Will there be fireworks at Piazza San Marco?
詹妮弗：我还是先四处走走吧。圣马可广场会放烟火吗？
Gary: Yes, but you'll have to wait until the last day to see the most spectacular fireworks.
加里：会，但要等到最后一天才能看到最漂亮的烟火。
