Alma: Finally we have come to The Birth of Venus, Botticelli' masterpiece.
阿尔玛：终于看到了波提切利的杰作《维纳斯的诞生》。
Richard: The very epitome of beauty, what with the flowing hair, floral gowns and a shower of roses.
理查德：飞扬的头发，碎花长袍，还有玫瑰花雨，这简直就是美的化身。
Alma: Everything from the blue sea in the backdrop to the body of the deities in the forward plane is glowing with a mild radiance.
阿尔玛：从背景中深蓝的海面到前景里神祇的躯体都在散发着淡淡的光辉。
Richard: So much so that it can make viewers ignore the unnatural elements in the figure of Venus.
理查德：以至于能让看画的人忽略维纳斯身上不自然的因素。
Alma: What do you mean?
阿尔玛：你指什么？
Richard: Look at how long her neck is, and how her arm falls abruptly.
理查德：看她的脖子有多长，以及她的手臂怎样突兀地垂下来。
Alma: Yeah, now I see. But isn't it strange that the artist should ignore such details?
阿尔玛：是啊，现在我看到了。但是画家居然会忽略这样的细节不是很奇怪吗？
Richard: I wouldn't have noticed if I haven't made a research online. The point is, these elements don't harm the picture at all. They are totally in harmony with the graceful outline of the whole painting.
理查德：如果不是我在网上查过，我也不会注意到。关键在于，这些细节并不会损害这幅画，而是跟整幅画优雅的线条形成了和谐的一致。
