Jerry: The Chinese team has again made a clean sweep of all the table tennis gold medals!
杰瑞：中国队又赢走了所有的乒乓球项目金牌！
Xie: Chinese people have long dominated in table tennis. It is actually our national sport.
谢：长期以来中国在乒乓球运动中处于领军地位，这是我们的国球。
Jerry: Yes. It seems that there is not much competition from other countries! Is it normal that all medals in one event go to a single country?
杰瑞：是的，好像没什么其他国家能跟中国竞争啊。某一项目中所有奖牌都由一 个国家获得很常见吗？
Xie: It may be rare, but Americans have excelled in swimming, gymnastics, and track and field. And other countries have their own specialty.
谢：这种现象可能很少，但是美国人在游泳、体操和田径项目上也是出尽风头。其他国家也有自己擅长的领域。
Jerry: Yeah, come to think on that.
杰瑞：想想也是。
Xie: You couldn't imagine how keen we are on table tennis, and how much this nation has invested in this sport financially and emotionally.
谢：你想象不到我们对乒乓球抱着多大的热情，以及这个国家在这项运动中的财力和情感投入有多少。
Jerry: I guess you are right. I could see that even small kids are swinging paddles in the school yard.
杰瑞：我想你是对的。我知道连小孩子都会在校园里挥舞乒乓球拍。
Xie: So we have every reason to win.
