Lesson 15 Key Conversation We Made a Bucket List

Jessica: Hey Dad, how does it feel to know that you have only a few weeks left before you retire?

Steven: I feel as free as a bird, but don't think I'm calling it quits just yet. I still have a few more things to finish up before I'm done.

Jessica: So, what are your plans for after you're done? Are you and Mom going to stay out here, or will you move closer to us?

Steven: Don't get me wrong, Jess. Your mom and I love you and your sisters, and things have been pretty quiet around the house. We do want to get out more and have an adventure.

Jessica: The empty nest getting to you?

Steven: Something like that. But your mother and I made a bucket list a few years back when we were planning for this.

See, she's always longed to see the rest of the world, and I've always wanted to learn sailing, so we enrolled in some lessons and have started looking at routes for our trip.

Jessica: Wow, I'm jealous. I hope I have enough to retire at 65, but with how things are going, I don't know if that'll be possible.

Steven: It should be if you start saving now.
