Sarah: My old friend. what are you doing here with flowers in hand?
Tom: Nothing, nothing. I bought the flowers because they are beautiful.
Sarah: Ah, I get it. You want to give these flowers to a girl you like? Jesus, that's a bit old-fashioned, don't you think?
Girls today are more likely to sneer at you than appreciate the gesture. Sure you can come up with a better idea than flowers.
Tom: Not really. What do you think I should do?
Sarah: You're really a bit of a green hand in affairs of the heart. You need to get to know something about her likes and
dislikes.
Tom: I am already an acquaintance. I just don't know how to ask her out. I don't have the courage.
Sarah: If you don't have the courage to ask her out then I can't help you. If you can't even get a date, how are you
supposed to get a girlfriend?
