10月5日，近五千名徒步方队受阅官兵在出色完成国庆大典阅兵任务后，悄无声息地离开了沙河阅兵村。据悉，装备方队也通过各种交通方式陆续踏上了归途。所有受阅部队将于10月10日回撤完毕。

为尽量减少部队机动给首都交通和市民出行带来影响，阅兵官兵都把回撤时间安排在深夜和清晨。

Ground forces that participated in the massive military parade on the 60th founding anniversary of New China started Monday to leave their drill camps on the outskirts of Beijing.

The ground troops consisting of more than 10,000 service men from the three armed forces -- army, navy and air force, were scheduled to depart their camps before October 10, according to the commanding center that orchestrated the national day military parade.

报道中的drill camp指的是“阅兵村”，即参加国庆六十周年阅兵大典的军队进行为期五个月的训练的地方。Drill有“训练”、“操练”、“军事训练”之意，如drill soldiers day and night（日夜练兵）；drill pupils in grammar（经反复训练使学生完全掌握语法）。
