《回顾》
Nine-year life at Qinghua—
九年底清华生活，
When I look back—
回头一看——
Within miles of desert under an autumnal night,
是秋夜里一片沙漠，
Appears like a firefly;
却露着一颗萤火，
The more you look at it, the brighter it gets.
越望越光明，
All around is darkness, confusing, unfathomable, bleak.
四围是迷茫莫测的凄凉黑暗。
This was spring's end when red fades but green prospers:
这是红惨绿娇的暮春时节：
Now by the lotus pond—
如今到了荷池——
Under the heavy silence pressing on the water
寂静底重量正压着池水
The surface could not even make wrinkles—
连面皮也皱不动——
Complete dead quietude!
一片死静！
Suddenly the spirit of silence retreated,
忽地里静灵退了，
The mirror shattered,
镜子碎了，
All began to breathe.
个个都喘气了。
Look! The sun's smiling flames—a spear of golden light,
看！太阳底笑焰——一道金光，
Filtering through the leaves, Fell on my forehead.
滤过树缝，洒在我额上；
Now Xihe1 has put a crown on me,
如今羲和替我加冕了，
I am the king of the entire universe!
我是全宇宙底王！
