Distinguished Guests, Dear friends, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good evening!

Entrusted by Mr. Deng Panren, the Chief Executive of the Jinwan District Government, I'm here to introduce to you the investment environment or our district. Actually this is a proud but tough task. As soon as I accepted it, I've kept thinking about how to do the presentation. I don't want to keep you too long sitting in front of the delicious food, or leave you no impression of the place on the other hand. After several days' careful thinking, I come here with a solution—I would like to introduce Jinwan District to you from three aspects.

The first is its geographical location. Second is the general information about the district. Third is the reason for you to choose Jinwan. The three aspects can be summarized by three W—No.1, where is Jinwan District? No. 2, what is Jinwan District? And No. 3, why is in Jinwan District? Now, I would like to talk about the first aspect, the geographical location of Jinwan District.

It is one of the three administrative districts of Zhuhai city. It is located in southwest of the city, 30 kilometers to Macao, 150 kilometers to Guangzhou and 45 sea miles to Hong Kong. This map clearly shows the location of the district. The yellow area is Jinwan, and the areas in yellow belong to Jinwan. From Jinwan to Macao, the route passes the urban area of Zhuhai. From Jinwan to Hongkong, it is 45 sea miles by sea. As for the location of the district in the entire region of the Pearl River Delta, we can learn from this map clearly: from Jinwan to Guangzhou, it is 150 kilometers by land. Zhuhai city is located in the core area in the Delta and Jinwan just locates southwest inside the core.

This is the first part of my presentation. Second is the general situation of Jiwan. Jinwan, as an administrative district, does not have a long history. It was established in 2002 upon the approval of the State Council. It has a population of nearly 350,000 and governs four towns. They are Sanzao, introduced in the video just showed, where we are going to visit and attend the ceremony of factory building completion this afternoon; and then Pingsha, Hongqi and Nanshui. The district covers an area of 447 square kilometers. It has favorable transport facilities, a foundation laid by the city for our development. The transport facilities include the under-construction Hong kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, which will connect Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao together. It is a key transport project in Guangdong Province. And then, the two railways - the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway and the intercity light rail are also under construction. The former will run through and central area of Jinwan District and directly connected to Gaolan Port of the district. The latter will connect Zhuhai with other cities in the Pearl River Delta. In addition, there are two ports. We enjoy unique advantages in Jinwan. As a county-level district, we have both air-port and deep water ports. Last but not least, we also have four expressways. I'll show you in detail in this picture. First is the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway. The second is the West Guangdong Expressway running along seashore. The third is the Jiangmen-Zhuhai Expressway. The fourth is the under-construction Tai'ao Expressway (Erlianhaote-Guangzhou), which will connect Macao. Here are the four expressways I just mentioned. This is the intercity light rail that connects the cluster of cities in the PRD. And the under-construction Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway is located here. And the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is under research and design. So these are transport facilities in Jinwan. Here, we can see that Jinwan District is just located in the same area of Zhuhai Port and Zhuhai Airport. Therefore, all the above-mentioned facilities in Zhuhai provide great transportation support for Jinwan.

Thirdly, I would like to talk about the economy in Jinwan. Since economy covers many aspects, I hope I can make it brief. Since Jinwan District was established in 2002, its society and economy have developed very fast. In 2007 its GDP reached 16.1 billion RMB. The industrial output exceeded 51.1 billion RMB, and the actual utilization of foreign capital amounted to 380 million, accounting for 40% of the amount of Zhuhai. In Jinwan, we have a world famous expo, i.e. in every two years, we hold the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition at the Zhuhai airport. Since last year, Zhuhai began to hold an international exhibition on yachts and water sport equipments, which took Jiwan as an important base.

The fourth point is the industry in Jinwan. There are mainly four industrial zones. The first is the Liangang Industrial Zone located along the Zhuhai Dadao. The second is the Sanzao Science and Technology Park which we visited this morning. The third is the Pingsha Industrial Zone. The fourth is the Gaolan Port Economic Zone. These four zones form the main body of the industry in Jinwan. In these years' development, the four zones have made their own focus. For example, the Gaolan Port Economic Zone emphasizes on petrochemical, heavy chemical and energy industries. BP and Hutchison Whampoa Limited have invested heavily in this zone. The PTA factory of BP is by far the largest individual factory by investment in Zhuhai. In Pingsha Industrial Park, there are investment from Autilus Hyosung (spandex) Inc of South Korea and investment from Japan. This area gained fast development these years. Another very special industry of Jinwan is yacht manufacture, which is also developed in Pingsha Zone. So far, nearly 20 yacht manufacturers and relative companies gather in the zone. Sanzao Science Park which you visited this morning is a key zone for medical industry in Guangdong province. Many famous enterprises have invested here, including Philips from the Netherlands and Bosch from Germany. This is by far one of the most developed industrial zones in Jinwan. In Liangang Industrial Zone, we focus on new industries, especially audio-visual equipments and electronic equipments manufacture. These are some famous enterprises that have invested in our district, including Bosch, Philips and BP and other Fortune-500 enterprises, which have built around 20 enterprises in Jinwan. These are the industries I just mentioned on the map. Yacht manufacture is our special industry, petrochemical industry in Gaolan Port Zone, and the medical industry, in Sanzao. These are all important industries even in Zhuhai as a whole.

Next let's look at the human resources in Jinwan. Zhuhai's university zone contains eight universities. Among them, four are located in Jinwan. Although the district has a population of only 300,000, the rate of people with higher education diplomas is higher than elsewhere in the whole city.

No matter we are setting up a business or developing our economy, we need a colorful life. Now, I'd like to highlight some attractions of living in Jinwan. We have some famous tourist attractions, like the Ocean Spring Resort, golf course, and some famous islands and beaches. This is a very famous beach in Jinwan. These are beautiful islands and beaches. This is the scenery of the Ocean Spring Resort in the evening. This resort is invested by the China National Travel Service Hong Kong Group Cooperation. What you've seen is the first phase of the project. The second phase will be started this year.

Last but not least, government services in Jinwan. Just now Secretary Yan gave an all-round introduction of the service. Therefore I just want to mention one point. The Jinwan government, since its establishment in 2002, has emphasized on the service to enterprises and to the public. In 2003, Jinwan District took the lead in China in being identified by ISO9001 in terms of government affair, a guarantee of our efforts in the public services.

The third part or the third W is why we choose Jinwan. I'll give you four reasons for you to live or set up businesses and make investment in Jinwan. Firstly, we have incomparable geographical advantages. For example, we are close to Hong Kong and Macao. This is unique to Jinwan than other areas. Meanwhile, we are located in the Pearl River Delta, the most vigorous economic zone in China, where the total import and export volume accounts for one third of that of China, the actual utilization of foreign capital, one fourth, and the fiscal revenue, one seventh. Located in such an economically developed zone, Jinwan enjoys many opportunities. The second reason is the incomparable transport edge in Jinwan. Just now I showed you the air, sea and land transport in Jinwan on the map. From anywhere in the world, if you arrive in Hong Kong, Macao or Guangzhou, you are only one step to Jinwan. The third reason is the incomparable environment advantages. During years of development, Zhuhai earned a lot of honors. One of is that its environment gains recognition from China and the world. Zhuhai is awarded the Habitat Scroll of Honor Awards by UN and also the honor of Garden-like Seashore City. Therefore in terms of the environment, Zhuhai is a bright pearl in the Pearl River Delta. Thus, Jinwan District also has beautiful environment. The fourth reason is that in Jinwan we have incomparable potential for development. After 30 years of reform and opening up, Jinwan has learned a lot from other places'development. At the same time, we have gained support from friends all over the world and laid solid foundation for our economy and industry. Given that we have ample land and human resources, we believe in the future international economic development, and we'll have more opportunities and potential.

Just now I introduced to you the general information about Jinwan from three aspects. The first part is the geographical location, the second part the general situation and the third the reasons to choose Jinwan. I use three Ws to summarize it.
