二、口译技巧

1.省略

Efforts should also be dedicated to establishing a new international economic order that is just and fair, and to achieving the common development among developing and developed nations.
应当致力于建立一个公正、公平的国际经济新秩序，实现共同发展。（省略不言而喻的词）

2.增词

the volume of international trade is expanding faster than world economy
国际贸易的增长速度高于世界经济的增长速度⋯⋯ （增添原文中所省略的词语）

3.词性转换

形容词转化为副词
First of all, I would like to hereby extend sincere gratitude to the chairman of the organizing committee for his kind invitation!
首先，我要衷心地感谢筹委会主席对我的邀请。（原文中的“gratitude”翻译 运用名词转化为动词的技巧）

形容词转化为名词
The rise of knowledge-based economy, coupled with the overwhelming scientific and technological revolution, has led to consistent innovations in information technology, bio-technology, new materials, new energy, space technology and oceanic technology.
知识经济的兴起，伴随着科技革命的强劲势头，导致了在信息技术、生物技术、新材料、空间技术以及海洋技术等方面的持续创新。

名词转化为动词
whose tremendous influences will have more apparent reflection in the economic growth of the 21st century⋯
其巨大的影响作用将会在21世纪的经济发展中明显地反映出来（原文中“apparent”的翻译采用了形容词转化为副词的技巧）

4.拆分

The economic globalization has promoted the development of world economy / while all countries are facing new chances and challenges in development.
经济全球化推动了世界经济的发展，/ 各国也正面临着新的发展机遇和挑战。

5.被动转化为主动
However, the economic globalization was initiated by developed countries at the time when the old international economic order had not been essentially transformed.
然而，经济全球化是由发达国家所倡导。那时，国际经济旧秩序还未得到根本的转变。
