Good evening, it is a great honour and privilege for me to stand before you and to warmly welcome you to the Opening Ceremony of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games.

晚上好！非常荣幸能够站在这里，诚挚的欢迎你们来到第一届青奥会开幕式现场。

Tonight, we witness the birth of the Youth Olympic Games and share with the world this historic moment. Tonight, we welcome 3,600 Young Olympians to Singapore; and over the next 12 days we will witness these outstanding talents from the 204 National Olympic Committees compete in 26 Olympic sports.

今晚，我们一同见证青年奥林匹克运动会的诞生，与全世界共同分享这一历史时刻。今晚，我们欢迎3600名青年奥林匹克运动员来到新加坡。在接下来的12天中，我们将共同见证来自204个国家和地区奥委会的优秀运动员们在26个比赛大项中展现风采。
