在上一篇考研英语写作的词句策略中，我们已经讲到过，同义替换词的使用可以增加文章的吸引力，会使文章在阅卷老师那里得到更多的注意力。但写作的整体要求，除了增加词汇量外，还需要在句式及词汇的运用手段上多下工夫，今天，考研英语老师就词汇运用技巧方面为个为考生提一些较为实用的写作技巧。
在一些语言表达方式上，重复可以增强语言表达冲击力的。正如，有些作家在大量使用排比的基础上，可以使语言表达更具影响力，例如丘吉尔的演讲《热血、汗水和眼泪》中的一句话，“Let that be realized. No survival for the British Empire, no survival for all that the British Empire has stood for, no survival for the urge, the impulse of the ages, that mankind shall move forward toward his goal.”(我们务必认识到，没有胜利就不复有大英帝国，没有胜利就不复有大英帝国所象征的一切，没有胜利就不复有多少世纪以来的强烈要求和冲动：人类应当向自己的目标迈进。)这句话中“no survival for”的重复使用使得丘吉尔的演讲更具渲染力，更具说服力。类似于这样的“重复”还出现在肯尼迪的就职演讲中，“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty”这段话的冲击力就来自于对“any”的重复。
除词汇重复外，写作细节问题也需要得到各位考生的重视，即运用具体词。例如“Constant viewing of rock videos is harmful to children’s emotional development.”，若是将“be harmful to”换成“stunts and distorts”就会更加具体且更具冲击力，“Constant viewing of rock videos stunts and distorts children’s emotional development.”。在平时的写作当中，考生若想表达“限制、约束”时，除了可以使用“limit”之外，“ban，bar，curb，restrict，restrain，constrict和constrain”都可以具体来表达“限制、约束”;在表示“减轻”时，“alleviate，relieve，decrease，reduce，lessen及release”的使用比“ease”更加具体形象。比起概括词，运用具体的词汇会产生不同的表达效果，使整篇文章更具吸引力。
同时，具体动词在表达中往往是文章变得更加有生气。例如在这样一段话中，“On one side of town there are many antelopes in the hills and along the roads are yellow wild flowers. On the other side there is the Big Horns and nearly 10,000 feet up, Powder River Pass is through them.”，在使用具体词汇后，“On one side of town, antelope abounded by fours and fives in the hills, and yellow wild flowers lined the roads. On the other side rose the Big Horns and nearly 10,000 feet up, Powder River Pass cut through them.”，这句话就会显得更加形象生动。
在考研英语写作的词句策略中，运用重复及具体词的使用会使得语言表达更具说服力，生动形象。文都教育建议各位考生，写作本身就是一个日积月累的过程，需要大量的练习及记忆，所以，在大家精力和时间充足的情况下，可以一周写一两篇作文来检测自己在写作方面的复习情况。
