Mary's birthday is coming.
玛丽的生日快到了。
Her uncle called to tell her that he would send some chickens to her as a present.
她叔叔打电话告诉她，会送一些鸡给她作为礼物。
Mary was very glad to hear that.
玛丽听到这个消息很高兴。
Because she likes chickens and eggs very much.
因为她非常喜欢鸡和鸡蛋。
I will keep the chickens for eggs, she thought.
她想，我会把鸡留着让它们下蛋。
Then, the chickens arrived on her birthday.
然后，她在生日那天收到了这些鸡。
They were put in a box.

Mary carried the box to the garden, but it was so heavy.
玛丽把箱子搬到花园里去，但箱子太重了。
She dropped the box on the groud and it broke.
她把盒子掉在地上，盒子坏了。
All the chickens went out and run here and there.
所有的鸡都逃了，跑得到处都是。
Mary spent hours trying to find them that morning.
玛丽那天早上花了好了几个小时试图找到它们。
A few days later, her uncle came.
几天后，她叔叔来了。
He asked Mary, "Where are the chickens? Do you like them?"
他问玛丽：“那些鸡在哪儿？你喜欢它们吗？”
"Of course, though I dropped them and had some troulbe finding them anyway.
“当然，不过我把它们掉地上了，费了半天劲找它们。
Anyway, I cauhgt ten of them." Mary said.
不过，我捉住了10只。”玛丽说。
"That's very intersting, but I only sent you six." Her uncle said with the laugh.
她叔叔笑着说：“很有趣，但我只给你寄了6只。”
